SAFE-CARD is a self-assessment online program seeking to address the educational needs of Canadian cardiologists and internists, on a variety of contemporary topics and issues in cardiology, with a particular focus on atrial fibrillation (AF) and the use of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies in AF, particularly in those patients with comorbid conditions. The program is accredited by the Canadian Cardiovascular Society for Section 3 credits. The questions have been developed by a distinguished scientific committee chaired by Dr. Stuart Connolly.
SAFE-CARD is an innovative and challenging self-assessment program, with 100 questions divided into 4 modules:
Module 1: Atrial Fibrillation and Anticoagulation
Module 2: Echocardiography
Module 3: ECG Interpretation
Module 4: Hot Topics in Cardiology
The estimated time of completion is 90 minutes. You may complete this program over several days or weeks. Once you begin the program, you may pause at any time and save your progress, simply by clicking Save Answers & Continue Later at the upper right corner of your screen. Once ready to resume, simply log back in and click on the Resume self-assessment button at the center of the screen.
Once you have completed the program, you will automatically receive your certificate of completion, along with a report of your answers.
